As democratic practices and the protection of human rights become rooted in Africa, and more institutions dealing with human rights are being established on the continent, the African Human Rights Law Journal records developments in this area.
Published for the Centre of Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, the Journal deals with topics relating to human rights that are of importance to Africa, Africans and scholars of Africa. In the process, the Journal hopes to contribute towards jurisprudence rooted in African soil. Past articles have dealt with corruption, the rights of the child and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD). |
